  • Reading and annotating primary sources (i.e., novels) (Summer before 12th grade/Fall)
  • Journaling about primary sources (Fall-Early Winter)
  • Finding, reading, annotating, and journaling about secondary sources (i.e., articles about your novels) (Fall-Early Winter)
  • Developing an argument and outlining (February)
  • Drafting big idea papers (March-April)
  • Submitting a final draft (Friday before April vacation)
